Explore the Enchanting Charm of Ljubljana, Slovenia's Capital City. Experience a seamless and comfortable journey as you arrive at the airport, where you will be warmly welcomed by your dedicated driver. Sit back and relax as you are transferred to the captivating city of Ljubljana. As Slovenia's capital and largest city, Ljubljana stands as one of Europe's greenest and most livable capitals, having been honored as the European Commission's Green Capital of Europe in 2016. The city center boasts a unique charm, with car traffic restricted, allowing the leafy banks of the emerald-green Ljubljanica River to create a pedestrian and cyclist haven. During the summer months, the riverbanks transform into lively hubs of activity, with cafes setting up terrace seating, creating a vibrant and festive atmosphere. Prepare to be enthralled as you explore the old town, where a plethora of must-see landmarks awaits. Delve into the city's captivating history, admire its remarkable architecture, indulge in its thriving art scene, gain insights into its politics, and immerse yourself in the national psyche. Our expertly curated walking tour will take you to the nearby Prešeren Square, where the iconic Triple Bridge awaits, as well as the Butchers Bridge, Plečnik's Market, Dragon Bridge, Cathedral Town, Square Town Hall, Robba Fountain, Cobblers' Bridge, National Library, Congress Square, and the University. Dinner and Overnight
After breakfast we will be transferred to Zagreb. Zagreb is made for strolling. Wander through the Upper Town's red-roof and cobblestone glory, peppered with church spires. Crane your neck to see the domes and ornate upper-floor frippery of the Lower Town's mash-up of secessionist, neo-baroque and art deco buildings. Search out the grittier pockets of town where ugly-bland concrete walls have been transformed into colorful murals by local street artists. This city rewards those on foot. Enjoy lunch and transfer in direction of Opatija. Genteel Opatija, 13km west of Rijeka, was the chicest seaside resort for the Austro-Hungarian elite during the days of the Austro-Hungarian Empire – as evidenced by the many handsome belle époque villas that the period bequeathed the town. Although it lost a lot of its sheen during the Yugoslav period, Opatija has spruced itself up in the last decade and once again attracts a mainly mature crowd, drawn to its grand spa hotels, spectacular location and agreeable year-round climate. Some excellent restaurants have sprung up to cater to them, with a particularly good cluster in pretty Volosko, just up the road.
Dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, transfer in direction of Pula. A wealth of Roman architecture lifts otherwise-workaday Pula (ancient Polensium; Pola in Italian) from the humdrum. The star of the show is the remarkably well-preserved Roman Amphitheatre, smack in the heart of the city, which dominates the streetscape and doubles as a venue for summer concerts and festivals. Historical attractions aside, Pula is a busy commercial city on the sea that has managed to retain a friendly small-town appeal. Just a short bus ride away, a series of beaches awaits at the resorts that occupy the Verudela Peninsula to the south. Although marred with residential and holiday developments, the coast is dotted with fragrant pine groves, seaside cafes and a clutch of good restaurants. Pula is also a good base for exploring the protected Cape Kamenjak nature park, to the south, and the Brijuni Islands National Park, to the north. Free afternoon before dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, transfer to the National Park of Krka. Extending along the 73km Krka River, Krka National Park runs from the Adriatic near Šibenik inland to the mountains of the Croatian interior. It’s a magical place waterfalls and gorges, with the river gushing through a karstic canyon 200m deep. Sights built by humans are also a major draw of the region, the area’s remoteness attracting monks who constructed their monasteries here. Enjoy also some free time on your own before transfer back to Split for dinner and overnight.
Breakfast at hotel and transfer in direction of Sarajevo. Ringed by mountains, Sarajevo is a singular city with an enticing East-meets-West vibe all of its own. It was once renowned as a religious melting pot, earning it the epithet 'the Jerusalem of Europe'. Within a few blocks you can still find large Catholic and Orthodox cathedrals, Ashkenazi and Sephardic synagogues, and numerous mosques. However, the Jewish population was decimated during WWII and Sarajevo is now a divided city, with most of the Orthodox Christians living in Istočno Sarajevo (East Sarajevo) on the Republika Srpska side. During the 20th century, two violent events thrust Sarajevo into the world's consciousness: the assassination which sparked WWI. The scars of the longest siege in modern European history are still painfully visible, yet Sarajevo is once again a wonderful place to visit – for its intriguing architectural medley, vibrant street life and irrepressible spirit. After the walking tour dinner and overnight at your hotel.
After breakfast we will be transfer in direction of Mostar, visit the old town and bridge. Mostar is the largest city in Hercegovina, with a small but thoroughly enchanting old town center. At dusk the lights of numerous millhouse restaurants twinkle across gushing streams, narrow Kujundžiluk bustles joyously with trinket sellers and, in between, the Balkans' most celebrated bridge forms a majestic stone arc between medieval towers. Final transfer in Direction of Dubrovnik for dinner and overnight.
This morning all day visit of Dubrovnik with Pile gate the old harbor. A sense of awe will descend when you see the beauty of Dubrovnik's old town, with its ancient city walls, baroque buildings and the shimmer of the Adriatic. Walking tour on the narrow street and enjoy some real feelings of the city. Later a short transfer of 20min in direction of Cavtat the small and pleasant village is very charming for a coffee break and optional some boat tour around the village or in Lokrum island.
Back to Dubrovnik for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, transfer in direction of Montenegro. Wedged between brooding mountains and a moody corner of the bay, achingly atmospheric Kotor is perfectly at one with its setting. Hemmed in by staunch walls snaking improbably up the surrounding slopes, the town is a medieval maze of museums, churches, café-strewn squares, and Venetian palaces and pillories. It’s a dramatic and delightful place where the past coexists with the present; its cobblestones ring with the sound of children racing to school in centuries-old buildings, lines of laundry flutter from wrought-iron balconies, and hundreds of cats – the descendants of seafaring felines – loll in marble laneways. Come nightfall, Kotor’s spectacularly lit-up walls glow as serenely as a halo. Behind the bulwarks, the streets buzz with bars, live music – from soul to serenades – and castle-top clubbing. After the visit serpentine road to the Royal capital of Cetinje when you will visit the King Nikola house.
Final transfer to the capital in Podgorica for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast transfer in direction of Budva. Budva is the poster child of Montenegrin tourism. Easily the country’s most-visited destination, it attracts hordes of holidaymaker’s intent on exploring its atmospheric Stari Grad (Old Town), sunning themselves on the bonny beaches of the Budva Riviera and partying until dawn; with scores of buzzy bars and clanging clubs, it’s not nicknamed ‘the Montenegrin Miami’ for nothing. Though Budva has been settled since the 5th century BC, you’ll be hard-pressed finding much – outside of the Old Town – that isn’t shiny and relatively new. Development has run rampant here, and not all of it appears to be particularly well thought out. In the height of the season, Budva’s sands are blanketed with package holidaymakers from Russia and Ukraine, while the nouveau riche park their multimillion-dollar yachts in the town’s guarded marina. That said, Budva has a hectic charm all of its own. The ahead in direction of Albania. Photo shooting at Sveti Stefan and Budvaska Riviera. Dinner and overnight in Tirana.
After breakfast we will start the walking tour in Tirana. Lively, colorful Tirana is where this tiny nation's hopes and dreams coalesce into a vibrant whirl of traffic, brash consumerism and unfettered fun. Having undergone a transformation of extraordinary proportions since awaking from its communist slumber in the early 1990s, Tirana's center is now unrecognizable from those grey days, with buildings painted in primary colors, and public squares and pedestrianized streets that are a pleasure to wander. Trendy Blloku buzzes with the well-heeled and flush hanging out in bars and cafes, while the city's grand boulevards are lined with fascinating relics of its Ottoman, Italian and communist past – from delicate minarets to loud socialist murals. Add to this some excellent museums and you have a compelling list of reasons to visit. With the traffic doing daily battle with both itself and pedestrians, the city is loud, crazy, colorful, but Tirana is never dull. Free evening.
Dinner at hotel and overnight.
After breakfast, short transfer to Kruja. Visit the medieval city and castle with the old bazaar then ahead to the airport for your onward flight
